Hey šŸ˜ Welcome back!

Now that you know your hairā€™s porosity, youā€™ll find below methods you can apply in order to retain its moisture. (Just incase youā€™ve not done the porosity test, hereā€™s the link https://jaenieykwena.wixsite.com/hairpride/post/hair-porosity)

LCO stands for Liquid, Cream, Oil

LOC stands for Liquid, Oil, Cream.

LCO and LOC method both refer to the order used in applying hair products to the hair in order to increase moisture retention and aid hair growth.

The choice of method to be used depends on your hairā€™s porosity.

Having an idea about your hair porosity would give you an insight on the best method to use for your hair.

  • Liquid ā€”> Provides moisture and hydrates your hair. You can use a moisturizing spritz, water-based leave in conditioner or water.

  • Oil ā€”> Locks in moisture. You can use coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil or any other oils.

  • Cream ā€”> Seals in moisture. It closes the hair cuticles to prevent moisture loss. You can use Shea butter or a heavy cream

What method is best for your hairā€™s porosity????

Low porosity hair- Allows moisture in easily and loses it easily.

The LOC method is the best for this hair type.

Medium porosity hair- Absorbs and maintains moisture well.

The LOC or LCO method can be used.

High porosity hair- Does not allow moisture in easily but once itā€™s moisturized it retains it.

The LCO method is ideal.

Remember- Moisturized hair retains the hair length and dry hair breaks easily.
